Events
The Pigeon Center annually supports a Martin Luther King Jr. pride march, commemorative service, and prayer breakfast and hosts Black History Month educational programs. Fish fry dinners are held throughout the year. Special events include a taco dinner for Cinco de Mayo and a costume dance party for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
The center’s Season of Light Multicultural Holiday Celebration in December brings community members together to learn about and enjoy worldwide winter traditions, holidays, festivals, and foods.
In addition to multicultural events for the community, the Pigeon Center hosts community forums and meals, healthy living activities, and programs in concert with the Haywood Community College Development Club.
