PCMDC’s Hiring!

Kitchen Manager Position Available at the Center!

Our organization is entering its second year of a WNC Bridge Foundation grant, and we're in the process of expanding our team to include someone focused on managing our kitchen and culinary initiatives. Recognizing the significance of our culinary offerings, which have been a consistent source of revenue, we're looking to bring on a Food Manager to navigate and capitalize on this aspect.

There are some upcoming changes in the pipeline, such as the introduction of outdoor cooking spaces, a pizza oven, and a tent for outdoor events. These changes aim to enhance our existing fundraisers and open up opportunities for more extensive events and rentals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Culinary Operations Oversight:** Take charge of day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring the quality and consistency of the food we provide to the community.

2. **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with existing staff and assist in onboarding a new team member dedicated to food and kitchen management.

3. **Grant Implementation:** Play a role in implementing the outdoor cooking areas and pizza oven initiatives to elevate our fundraisers and expand the appeal of our events and rental spaces.

4. **Adaptability to Weather Conditions:** Utilize the new outdoor facilities to enable outdoor gatherings in various weather conditions.

5. **Event and Rental Management:** Contribute to the grant of events initiated in the first year and support the expansion of rental opportunities.

This part-time position requires 20 hours per week and offers compensation at a rate of $15 per hour. The Food Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, successful events, and the continued engagement of our volunteers. The role represents an opportunity to contribute to the organization's grant and impact within the community.

If you have the skills and passion for this role, we'd be interested in hearing from you. This isn't just a position; it's a chance to be part of our community-focused journey.
